Ingredients

  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups butter
  • 1 teaspoon anise oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Approximately 3 lbs. flour

Instructions

1. Beat eggs, add sugar and beat well.

2. Add butter which has been melted and cooled. 

3. Add flavoring then flour and salt—mix well.

4. Make dough ball about 1 inch in diameter.

5. Spray pizzelle maker with non-stick cooking spray and place dough in maker.

6. Cook until hardly any steam is being produced—this can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute.

7. Remove onto wired rack and sprinkle cooled cookies with powdered sugar.

 

Will make approximately 12 dozen pizzelles.
