Ingredients
- 1/2-pound browned butter - Let cool to room temp. (this makes the cookies extra yummy but if you don't have time to brown the butter, softened butter will do)
- ¾ cup of White Sugar
- 1 cup of Brown Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Baking Soda
- ½ tsp Baking Powder
- 3 cups Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips (Measure with your heart)
Instructions
1. Add the white and brown sugar to a bowl and cream with the browned butter for 3-5 minutes.
2. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix for another 3 minutes.
3. Add the dry ingredients in small batches until well combined.
4. Add the chocolate chips and don't be shy - the more the better.
5. Once all mixed, let sit in the fridge for 1 hour if you can wait that long.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
7. Let cool on a rack and sprinkle with flaky sea salt
Notes
- Link to Brown Butter Instructions
- Maldon flaky sea salt is my favorite to add
- Add ¼ cup of sourdough discard if you have it
- We also like to get creative by mixing chocolate, butterscotch, sprinkles, or other fun items depending on the occasion
- Don't forget to measure the chocolate chips with your heart!
