Who We Are

Event Garde is not your average consulting firm. The success of our more than 100 clients is a direct result of the diverse and reputable thought leaders we employ, our commitment to growing the knowledge and confidence of your people, and the collaborative partnership we create from problem statement through solution design, development, and implementation. Our clients manage leading trade associations, individual membership societies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies across the United States.

What We Stand For

Our cause. Event Garde helps clients address a range of unique and challenging needs through customized services and expert guidance informed by research, trend analysis, best practices, prior experiences, and intuition.

Our value proposition. Event Garde convenes a dream team of consultants and partners specific to each client – balanced in both skill and personality – to assist in the attainment of goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.

Our promise. Event Garde is committed to delivering engaging learning experiences, intentional networking environments, and the transfer of new information through meaningful rehearsal and retrieval exercises that is then applied on the job.

Our guarantee. Event Garde strives to provide the highest-quality services at competitive rates. But we’re not happy if you’re not happy. Our flexible and adaptable team values feedback and will work with you to ensure your expectations are met.

What We Do

Event Garde is a trendsetting consulting firm that pushes the boundaries of what’s normal and expected. We not only deploy innovative strategy and operations for clients, but we dream up trailblazing topics for publications and presentations, as well as create niche resources for the benefit of our community.

Healthy by Association is a progressive health and wellness movement for people to connect around a shared lifestyle, to set goals and overcome obstacles, to both prioritize and practice self-care, and to inspire each other to not only invest in their health, but to actually enjoy the journey along the way.

Review My Speaker is a trusted place to share openly and honestly about speaker experiences, to grow your network of qualified speakers, and to inform better hiring decisions for meetings and events. The online platform is dedicated to verified, honest reviews of speakers from real decision-makers.

Facilit8me offers a relaxed and supportive community of practice ideal for learning and networking with fellow facilitators. Through bimonthly meetings and a vibrant online community, participants of all experience levels are empowered with new resources and greater self-confidence.

Core Values

Just as Event Garde is committed to helping our clients identify and carry out their core values, our team worked to develop consensus around shared Event Garde core values. The team participated in a facilitated discussion to help brainstorm and develop alignment on the core values we want to hold as a high-performing, virtual team. We utilize these shared values as our foundation for how we work with one another, our partners, and our clients.

Facilit8me: Managing Implicit Bias in Facilitation Work

08/19/20

Online, 1-230 PM ET - Register here!

Join Krista Rowe and Lindsay Gross to discuss and understand the impact we have when, “rather than being neutral, we have a preference for (or aversion to) a person or group of people…we use the term “implicit bias” to describe when we have attitudes towards people or associate stereotypes with them without our conscious knowledge.” - Perception Institute. Facilitators in particular need to be aware of their own bias, how it impacts the activities they select, what perspectives they center and how their “neutrality” can lead to biased products and outcomes. Increasing a facilitators awareness of implicit bias and its impact will defuse stereotyping and create a more equitable facilitated experience.

This session will cover the following objectives:

  • Understand implicit and explicit bias
  • Understand the interaction between bias and oppression
  • How does bias show itself individually, institutionally, and systemically

In this webcast, leaders representing different aspects of the association community will describe how they have personally demonstrated resilience over the past few months through managing their staff teams, guiding their organizational strategy, and planning for the upcoming year-end and start of 2021. In conversation among peers, explore strategies that you can use now and as you plan for next year. Aaron will serve as the facilitator for this webcast.
